Property Description
A large historic property in original condition, located in the shadow of “De Grote of Onze-Lieve-Vrouwe Kerk” with a view of “De Nieuwe Haven”, in the heart of Dordrecht’s historic city centre — the oldest city in Holland.
The building was constructed around 1795 by order of the government as an armoury (tuighuis) for the Korps Pontonniers, military engineers specialised in bridge and obstacle construction. The garrison occupied the building until approximately 1958.
